a Letter
from Rae
I love the verse that appears on the back
cover of this issue:
“Blessed be the name of God
forever and ever, to whom belongs
wisdom and might.
He changes times and seasons;
he removes kings and sets up kings;
he gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to those
who haveunderstanding.”
[Dan. 2:20, 21]
As the seasons shift once again, our lives
adjust also. Fall brings a new term of school,
government elections, and the work of
preserving garden harvests in preparation for
winter. There is a feeling of things coming to a
close, and this inner awareness that - ready or
not - the times are changing.
In these changing seasons - geologically,
relationally, spiritually, or economically - God’s
hand moves the dial. With infinite wisdom, He
watches the turnings and never moves His eyes
from His beloved. This brings me deep rest.
Change is a normal part of life - and in my
personal life, the changes have been many!
Recently, my nursing career shifted direction,
and I was hired as Nurse Manager at a local
crisis pregnancy center. What
