THE TEAM RECOMMENDS MORNING WORSHIP SONGS AND PRACTICES TO USHER IN THE DAY M y quiet time is usually at night since there are less distractions and it’s quieter. So in the morning I sometimes grab any one of the Sarah Young or Mrs. Cowman devotionals that hide out by my bed, to have something to feast on first thing. A long time ago, before the blankets come off and feet hit the floor running, I started a habit of telling the Lord “Good morning” as soon as I wake up, and taking a minute to lay there and be still. Just as a way of offering thanksgiving and praise for the new day, and turning the focus onto the reality of His continual presence. A morning hymn that has long been a favorite of mine is “Still, Still With Thee” by Harriet Beecher Stowe. -Samantha 60 Still, still with Thee, when purple morning breaketh, When the bird waketh and the shadows flee; Fairer than morning, lovelier than the daylight Dawns the sweet consciousness, I am with Thee.
