RAPTOR VISITOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

School District 622 is pleased to announce that we will begin using the Raptor Visitor Management System in all district buildings — this includes Gladstone . The Raptor system will allow for the digital screening of all upon entering our building . The goal is to provide a safer environment for all who work , learn and play here .

Upon entering Gladstone ( or any district building ) you will be asked to present an ID such as a Driver ’ s License or State ID , which will be scanned into the system . If you don ’ t have a Driver ’ s License or State ID our staff can use another form of ID and manually enter you into the system . The Raptor system checks the name and date of birth with a national database of registered sex offenders . The registered sex offender database is the only official database checked by the Raptor system . No other data from the ID is gathered or recorded , and the information is not shared with any outside agency . Once entry is approved , Raptor will issue a badge that identifies the visitor , the date , and the purpose of the visit .

The Raptor system or other school safety screening systems are becoming increasingly common in school buildings in Minnesota and across the US . Thank you in advance for your understanding and your support in enhancing the school safety protocols in our district .

Paul / Western Wisconsin . Cards are available in the Gladstone office and are valid October 2022 through September 2023 .

Gateway Trail Tuesdays : Meet at Gladstone every Tuesday at 9:00 am beginning September 13 .

Oakdale Nature Preserve Saturdays : Meet at the Oakdale Discovery Center every other Saturday at 11:00 am beginning September 10 .

FALLPROOF ! WORKSHOP

The ability to improve your balance and reduce fall risks is in your hands . It is never too late ! You will learn why the risk for falling increases with age , as well as exercises and strategies you can use to reduce those risks . This is an interactive workshop — you will be practicing skills and taking home useful information that can save you from a trip to the floor . You will also learn what to do if you end up there !
