Exciting and Educational Fall Ed-Ventures
Hark the Basement Ladies Sing
The Church Basement Ladies are back performing in the
newly renovated (with roomier seating) Black Box Theater
at the Ames Center in Burnsville. This original musical
is set in December 1960 and finds community members
using a reel-to-reel tape recorder to record a special
Christmas greeting for one of their boys serving overseas.
If only the recording session could go as smoothly as
planned! Sing along as Beverly bangs out Christmas carols
on the old upright and enjoy some “fa la la” fellowship.
A buffet luncheon includes brown sugar glazed ham, hash
brown casserole, glazed carrots, dinner rolls/butter, full
soup and salad bar, and a variety of dessert options.
The tour leaves Gladstone at 10:15 am and returns to the
same location at approximately 4:00 pm. Fee includes
school bus transportation, lunch buffet, reserved seating
for the performance, and tour escort. Register by October
30. Cancellation policy: a processing fee will be deducted
from the refund when cancelling before October 30. No
refunds after this date. Community Education
