Many common eye conditions can affect your eyesight and force you to discover new ways to do old things. Cindy Kauffman from the Minnesota State Services for the Blind (SSB) will discuss services available to you if you are experiencing vision loss. Discover the various magnifiers, household devices, and options for reading through audio that are available through SSB to seniors even if your vision loss is in the early stages. Cindy will also demonstrate some of the remarkable ways that technology is improving the lives of seniors with vision loss—even seniors who are not sure they could learn how to use assistive technology. These services are all at no cost to the consumer, and help folks do more with less vision. There will be plenty of time for those wishing to work one-on-one with Cindy on specific aids and devices or getting connected with resources through SSB.
