There are so many “Riesens” (pronounced reasons) to celebrate Community Education because there are so many
Community Education programs. Community Education provides educational, social and recreational activities
for all from birth to 100+. Thursday, November 9th was National Community Education Day. We celebrated by
identifying the programs, of which Gladstone 55+ is one of, and then asking you to describe in one word, why you
celebrate Community Education. The words you wrote included service, relationships, growth, learning, smiles,
fun, and many more! These words show us what you value about Gladstone and celebrate the positive impact of
Community Education in our community. Thanks for helping us celebrate!
