No experience necessary. Meet at Silver Lake Beach instead of Oakdale Discovery Center for this activity. Wear shoes that can get wet and dress in layers for time on the water. With 174 species of birds found in Oakdale Nature Preserve, this is a great place to learn the basic skills that will help you find and identify birds. Class will start outdoors with a walk in the preserve followed by an indoor review session. Class fee includes a book for beginning birders. Bring a pair of binoculars if you can and dress for the weather.
