2020 Red Rooster Days Canceled
Following much discussion and deliberation, the Red Rooster
Committee and its Ambassador Committee, along with the
City of Dassel, have made the diffi cult decision to cancel the
2020 Red Rooster Days celebration, which was scheduled for
Labor Day weekend.
The event annually features a chicken BBQ, Dassel Farmers
Market, music, bike rides and runs, an art show, parade,
coronation of ambassdors, classic car show, kiddie tractor pull,
concessions, vendors, and fi reworks.
After considering the uncertainty of how to safely control
social gatherings during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,
health and safety of volunteers, and economic uncertainty,
this could be a very diffi cult and challenging effort.
The Ambassador Committee, however, after meeting with
the candidates and their parents, is making plans to host a variety
of summer activities, and a change to the program and
coronation. They will be following the reccomended guidelines
of the state of Minnesota at all times. Details will be announced
later.
For more information about these activities, contact Red
Rooster Committee members:
• Maegan Huikko at [email protected].
• Angela Schrupp at [email protected], or 320-
310-2828.
The City of Dassel, the Red Rooster Committee, the Dassel
Ambassador Organization, and the community greatly appreciate
everyone’s understanding and support, and look forward
to another fabulous Red Rooster Days celebration in 2021.

Ambassadors at last year’s Red Rooster Days celebration.
