2020 Corn Carnival Canceled
The 71st annual Cokato Corn Carnival, set for Monday, Aug
10 through Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020, will not take place this
year, due to COVID-19.
The car raffl e will still take place, and tickets can be purchased
from Cokato fi refi ghters, or at Cokato City Hall. Check
the City of Cokato website for updates.
Organizers will miss the crowds of people that gather in the
park for this tradition.
Every year during the second week of August, thousands of
people gather for what feels like a traditional carnival of the
past, enjoying all that the Cokato Corn Carnival has to offer.
Included in the three-day event are two days of endless
sweet corn. Several thousand ears of buttery, salty corn-onthe-cob
are normally served for free in Peterson Park Tuesday
and Wednesday.
Festivities include a kiddie parade, followed immediately by
the main parade.
Other highlights include the Miss Cokato coronation, corn
bingo, Midway rides, and plenty of food vendors to choose
from.
Those who purchase the annual Cokato Corn Festival button
are entered into a cash drawing.
