FIRE DEPARTMENT
At a moment’s notice, th he members of the Das ssel Volunteer
Fire Department (DVFD) are ready to
spring into action to help
those who need it most.
The Dassel Volunteer Fire Department’s response e area is
approximately 125 square miles. In 2019, the department re-
sponded to 303 calls.
The Dassel Fire Relief ef
Association hosts two annual nua events
to raise funds for the department. Funds are primarily used
for equipment and upgrades. A French toast breakfast takes
place annually during EMS Week in May, and a pork chop din-
ner takes place annually during National Fire Prevention Week
in October. The department also sends out calendars to its fi re
district, and received approximately $12,000 in donations from
calendar sales in 2019. This money goes toward upgrading
