Dassel’s RED ROOSTER DAYS
The Dassel Red Rooster Days festival draws quite a crowd
to Dassel during Labor Day weekend each year.
Beginning as a one-day event that took place on
Labor Day, the festival has grown throughout the years to
encompass the whole weekend, and includes the region’s
largest parade, and the largest chicken BBQ in Minnesota.
This year’s 60th annual Red Rooster Days is scheduled for
Friday, Aug. 30 through Monday, Sept. 2.
Those attending the 2019 celebration can plan on a full
weekend.
Friday celebration highlights include the Dassel Farmers
Market, open in the afternoon; and music at the bandstand
in the evening.
Saturday has something fun for everyone, including 7-
mile and 18-mile bike rides, an art show at the Dassel History
Center, the Grande Day parade; and the coronation of new
Dassel Ambassadors.
