The council meets 7 p.m. the third Monday of the month
in the city council chambers of city hall.

The Planning and Zoning Commission is the planning
agency for the City of Dassel.

The City of Dassel contracts with the Meeker County
Sheriff’s Department for law enforcement services. Contact
the department at (320) 693-5400, or in case of emergency,

Winter parking
Dassel has an ordinance which regulates the parking of
vehicles during the winter months. There is no parking on
city streets.
Snowmobile ordinance
The City of Dassel snowmobile ordinance limits
snowmobiles to one trip out of town, and one trip into town
only. No snowmobiling is allowed in the city from 11 p.m. to
7 a.m.

Stop in at City Hall to get your dog license! The license
fee for spayed or neutered dogs is $5. The regular license
fee is $10. Dogs must be leashed or under the control of a
responsible per son. Dogs running at large will be picked up.
The fee for an unlicensed dog pick-up is $50.

Cable – Cable television is available to all residents from
Charter Cable. If you would like to connect to cable television
or have any problems with cable television, call 1-888-438-
2427. Channel 189 is the local public access channel in
Dassel.
Internet services – In addition to Charter Cable and
CenturyLink offering high-speed Internet services, there are
also wireless internet services provided through a number of
providers. Call city hall for current information if this is the
type of service you desire.

The post office is located at 501 Second Street. Window
hours are Mondays through Fridays 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and
12:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

The Dassel Area Food Shelf, located at 531 Atlantic
Avenue West, is open Tuesdays from 10 a.m to 3 p.m., and
Thursdays from 3 to 7 p.m. and is operated by the Meeker
