The council meets 7 p.m. the third Monday of the month in the city council chambers of city hall. Planning and Zoning The Planning and Zoning Commission is the planning agency for the City of Dassel. Law enfor enforcement The City of Dassel contracts with the Meeker County Sheriff’s Department for law enforcement services. Contact the department at (320) 693-5400, or in case of emergency, dial 911 911. Winter parking Dassel has an ordinance which regulates the parking of vehicles during the winter months. There is no parking on city streets. Snowmobile ordinance The City of Dassel snowmobile ordinance limits snowmobiles to one trip out of town, and one trip into town only. No snowmobiling is allowed in the city from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Pet ordinance nance Stop in at City Hall to get your dog license! The license fee for spayed or neutered dogs is $5. The regular license fee is $10. Dogs must be leashed or under the control of a responsible per son. Dogs running at large will be picked up. The fee for an unlicensed dog pick-up is $50. The Dassel Area Food Shelf, located at 531 Atlantic Avenue West, is open Tuesdays from 10 a.m to 3 p.m., and Thursdays from 3 to 7 p.m. and is operated by the Meeker County Emergency Food Shelf.
