26th Annual Cotton Ginning Days Festival Oct 11 – 13, 2013 144 Leisure
Lane Dallas NC 28034 Exhibitors from all over the southeast will convene
in Dallas for the annual ‘crank-up’ of antique steam and gasoline tractors
and engines. One of the highlights of Cotton Ginning Days will be the
operational 1900 single-stand, Continental Cotton Gin. Featured daily
will be an Arts and Craft Show and sale with many vendors. Handcrafted
items available range from woodcrafts to quilts, pottery, custom pet wear
and accessories, Christmas items, jewelry, paintings, baby items, candles,
soaps, and much more! Heritage Arts includes a 19th century village. On
Oct. 12, artists will be on hand in the village demonstrating their works.
Parade of Power takes place on Oct. 11 at 9am in downtown Dallas and

in its 28th year. This festival offers a weekend of family entertainment.
Five stages will present non-stop musical entertainment. Kids will enjoy
the Kidsfest area, offering amusement rides and games for a thrill for
all ages. Artisans will be selling such items as beautiful pottery, jewelry,
glass, fabrics, woodcrafts, etc. Commercial vendors sell a variety of
merchandise ranging from sunglasses to handmade soaps. There are many
food vendors located in the Food Court selling a variety of treats, goodies
and great food. Oktoberfest also features the Castle of Cans—the Castle
of Caring, which features canned food donated for distribution to the
