he Carolina Renaissance Festival
celebrates the time honored
craft of beer brewing during its
annual BrewFest celebration held
the third weekend of October from
12pm - 3:30pm. Watch as a team of
amateur beer brewers demonstrate
the art of beer brewing. Sample
a selection of fine micro-brewed
ale and participate in a series
of RenFest games and activities
including the Saucy Wench
Costume Contest held at The Haven
(left of the Joust) - where ladies are
encouraged to flirtatiously strut
their sultry stuff - all in good fun!
Prizes will be awarded.
Alex Shoenthal of Charlotte and
his all original Rye IPA recipe was
chosen as winner of the coveted
Gambrinus Cup Competition.
Alex will have his recipe brewed
on a commercial scale by Foothills
Brewing Company of WinstonSalem and offered to the public
as a premium beer at the annual
Carolina Renaissance Festival.
