Royce’s Bluegrass Music Jam Friday, Aug 23, 2013 King Central Park King, NC 27021 The Foothills Hayride is a musical experience in Stokes County that contributes to the promotion of local musicians and the venues in which they perform. Royce’s Bluegrass Music Jam Central Park in King is an annual event where musicians from various areas local, state and national come together of Friday evenings to enjoy and perform their craft. Music will start around 7pm or a little before or after, depending on who shows up. Local non-profits serve refreshments and snacks under the picnic shelter. Only a couple hundred feet if you attend the Mile High Kite Festival on Beech Mountain. This is a wonderful tradition on Beech Mountain, as the community welcomes back the Richmond Air Force and Wings Across Carolina Kiting and Okra Society Kiting Clubs. The first 300 kids will get a free ki te for the competition, or they can be purchased.
