Airy stages Mayberry Days, a threeday festival that celebrates the show
and its legacy. The festival’s parade
features vintage cars, 1960s music,
actors from “The Andy Griffith
Show,” and look alike fans. During
the festival, the downtown post
office stamps mail with a “Mayberry,
N.C.,” postmark, and the Bright
Leaf Drive-In Theatre on U.S. 52
North screens Andy Griffith movies.
