Film Junkies Guide to North Carolina Surry County Locations Tucked away in Danbury, a tiny hamlet near Hanging Rock State Park, is the century-old Priddy’s General Store, where scenes were shot for the surprisingly successful horror flick Cabin Fever. First-time director Eli Roth handpicked locations for the film. He found Priddy’s to be the perfect country store, thanks in part to its light yellow exterior and aged pine floors. Film junkies will recognize it in scenes that feature Credits old man Cadwell, the eccentric, Cabin Fever (2003) gray-bearded storekeeper. Cabin Fever filmed primarily in the Triad at locations in Mocksville, Ramseur, Trinity, High Point, Mew’s Creek, Mount Airy, and Danbury. The campsite was at Raven Knob Boy Scout Camp, located at 266 Raven Knob Road, off Ledonia Church Road just west of Mount Airy. The hospital scenes were shot at the Davie County Hospital, located at 223 Hospital Street in Mocksville. The farmhouse, Terrell Farm, is in Trinity on Hoover Hill Road.
