ur second annual trek to the
Blue Ridge began at Flow
BMW around 9:00 AM with an
excellent brunch kindly provided
by Jason’s Deli. As a diverse gathering of cars lined up outside, the
main topic among the CruZers
were the two events that had occurred the day before, the Euro
Classica at Old Salem and the
Grand Prix D’ Monaco Casino
Night at Flow BMW. A brief review of the drive was conducted
with pointers about staying together, obeying all traffic laws
and a reminder that this was a
scenic CruZ, not a race!
Our escort from the W-S
police department arrived just
in time and we departed from
our staging area with about 30
cars and over 60 participants.
We discovered later that our
escort had underestimated our
numbers and just over 1/2 had
made the left turn before he
departed. Apparently, the ones
