ast Wednesday, I headed out
early for a nice ride. I planned
on visiting Bass Lake near Blowing
Rock, NC and then take The Parkway back to Rt 226 and Marion for
a visit with Sam at Moondoggy’s
Diner.
The ride to Blowing Rock was on
a very relaxing four-lane. As I rode
up the mountain, I remembered
how it was only a few years ago
when it was only a two-lane road.
It was treacherous especially with
all the trucks using the road. It was
a great improvement.
