Weather Channel. So lets find
some destinations that may be a bit
more comfortable than the steamy
flatlands.

festivals and charm than you can
shake a thermometer at!

packed with destinations for the
adventurous or those who just
want to relax. Like the 8 th Annual Red White & Bluegrass Festival - Morganton or Christmas in
July up in West Jefferson. Head a
little further west and hit the 55th
Annual Grandfather Mountain
Highland Games or enjoy one of
the many Pig Roasts, BBQ CookOffs or Gallery Crawls. Experience
one of the quirky festivals like 48th
Annual Coon Dog Day in Saluda.
Music is a large part of Western
Carolina and the number of music
festivals reflects that. Just a few...
