Dashboards and Saddlebags the Destination Magazine™ Issue 004 July 2011 | Page 21
you know Karen and Tim have fun
with their wines. That dedication
and passion shows when you uncork the bottle.
Pick a bottle of wine, get one
of the bags of goodies available
and a jar of Rothschild or Slightly Askew’s own label of mustard,
jellies or sauces to dip them in.
Enjoy some relaxation time on the
raised back deck. The deck faces
west so be prepared, you just may
have to deal with a spectacular
sunset with your wine.
A unique twist at Slightly Askew…
if you taste a wine you really like,
you can purchase a bottle or you
can purchase all the accessories
necessary to produce that wine (or
similar) in your own home. They
also carry a line of beer making
products for the home brewer.
As tempting as it may be to
spend your enter day at Slightly
Askew, you are encouraged to venture on to one of the other tasting
rooms of the Very Surry Wineries.
As they say in Elkin, 20 tasting
rooms within 20 minutes.
