As women in the 21st century , we are constantly policed by society , men and other women . Attempting to control women comes directly from the patriarchy and misogyny . Internalised misogyny is a huge problem , especially in the sex industry . Unfortunately , this industry is packed full of people thinking that SW , especially online SW or domination , is a great way to make quick , easy money , but at the same time , wanting to distance themselves as far as possible from those who offer ‘ sexual ’ services . I personally hold the belief that all forms of SW are ‘ sexual ’ in one way or another , the clue is in the name . I mentioned the word ‘ whorephobia ’ in the introduction of this article , but what does that mean exactly ? I had the pleasure of speaking to a few SWers about this , firstly , I introduce Valentina ( she / her ), a pro-domme and content creator in the South of England . She has been working in the sex industry for 8 years now , she defines whorephobia as : “ An absolute fear of exchange of money and sex . Fear of sex being able to be bought . Anger towards it , especially from other women . Hard to define because it is something that every whore / sex worker can define in a different way depending on their lived experiences ”.

I spoke to a few more SWers about this , and all had experienced some form of whorephobia at the hands of other SWers who choose to not offer nudity or ‘ sexual services ’ in their sessions , and that ’ s before even touching on the discrimination they face from clients , ‘ vanilla ’ peers and family and the rest of society . I also notice very young , and mostly newer ( 1-3 years in the industry ), online adult models , particularly ‘ findoms ’, speaking down on full-service sex workers ( FSSW ), attempting to distance themselves as much as possible from SW , but also desperately wanting to reap the benefits and boast about how much money you make - when you don ’ t even need to get naked or have sex ! Not wanting to have PIV sex or even get naked as a SWer is absolutely fine - that is your choice . Just as much as it is my choice to command my submissive to give me head , kiss / lick my
