PD : Your studio is available to Mistresses , Masters , slaves . How does your studio appeal to those who need a specific ‘ look ’ within the kink world ?
MC : Well , as I have had a long and illustrious career in front of camera in my capacity as an adult performer , model and Dominatrix , I understand what works image-wise when it comes to promoting yourself in these genres . Being of an artistic bent also helps ( I have an honours degree in Fine Art and am an accomplished artist ) and set-up my studio primarily with a view to producing top quality images to promote myself – a purpose to which it has served me well now for over ten years ! I have learned from experience what works best when it comes to lighting to achieve pleasing results and have set up the studio primarily with shooting fetish images in mind . I ’ m often complimented on My creative images , so I thought I ’ d extend the opportunity to others to make use of both my experience and facilities in the field .
PD : Can you tell us how well equipped it is ? What kit is readily available ?
MC : Over the past ten years or so , I have amassed an extensive and eclectic range of professional lighting equipment with the emphasis being on electronic studio flash . I have well over a dozen flash-heads and just about every imaginable light modifier ranging from soft-boxes to focusable spotlights available . My favourites are two huge ‘ Hi-Lite ’ soft-boxes ( each 2.5m square ) which enable me to create excellent ‘ rim-lighting ’ effects – which is perfect for fetish-style images . I also have a good selection of LED continuous lighting units to hand , so am easily able to create just about any lighting effect that I wish , speedily and with a minimum of fuss .
PD : Who is your resident photographer at the studio ?
MC : The studio manager , Mark , is a qualified Master Photographer with a wealth of experience dating back some thirty years , shooting in the world of glamour and fetish imagery with illustrious clients including Playboy TV , The Fantasy Channel and ‘ Erotica ’. Whilst he is obviously more than competent at shooting top quality images , sometimes people feel more relaxed with a female photographer , so I am quite happy to adopt camera duties once Mark has set the lighting up to achieve the required effect . Having spent a huge amount of time in front of camera myself over the years , I am able to offer invaluable advice regarding posing etc to people who may not be quite so comfortable as myself in front of camera . I like to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere whilst shooting and everyone tends to leave with a smile saying they ’ ve enjoyed the experience afterwards !
PD : What other facilities are available ?
MC : We ‘ tether ’ the camera to a large flat-screen wall-mounted TV , which enables people to see the images we are creating ‘ pop-up ’ on the monitor as we shoot . This enables people to see at a glance what poses and expressions work best for them and generally they are encouraged when they see how well the shots are turning-out .
We also have ‘ green-screen ’ facilities , which enable us to shoot against a green background and digitally ‘ drop-in ’ just about any background you can imaging using specialist software after the shoot ( just like the CGI effects in the movies !) This means we can be highly creative and produce some amazing finished images , so you
