he word Auschwitz alone stands for the horrors of
the Holocaust like no other. It was the largest and most
deadly of all the Nazi concentration camps / death
camps.
The site in the south-east of Poland was turned into a
memorial after the end of WWII and in more recent
years has become a prime tourist destination as well.
