Ethiopia and its Relationship to the Rastafari Movement cont It is a fact, the Ethiopian Orthodox Church is the first established African Christian Institutional Church; and precedes all established Christian churches worldwide. In addition, it is the only church that our African Ancient Symbol (the Drum) is used ritually. It is the latter passages that my passion to journey to Ejersa Goro, Harar is found in addition to my spiritual awareness and the unseen which cannot be explain in words but by deeds. So in July 2014, the fulfillment of the obsession with a visit to the birth site of Lij Tafari Makonnen became a reality. I arrived at the African Capital City, Addis Ababa, at Boles International Airport on July 19 at 3:30am; on the Holy Celebration Season of both the Islam and the Ethiopian Orthodox Christian Faiths (will forward soon to the celebrations). I was greeted and welcomed by Ras Mulugeta Haile, a native of Ethiopia and one of the guides which led me to the house of living in Ejersa Goro. Anyway, before elaborating on this trod; it is of essence that I provide the roots of my passion as stated in the title of this paper. The seeds to bring forth the roots of the journey to the birthplace of H.IM were sowed first by my dearest Mother; a comb-some Rastafari woman born in Bocas del Toro, Panama; from a Jamaican Rastafari woman by the name Amy Dowie, and a Jamaican horse trainer named Thomas Prendergast. My mother’s grandparents were former members of the UNIA, which evolved into the Rastafari Movement after the demised of the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey. From L-R - Ras Mulugeta, Ato Aberra, Ras Sela, and Prince Girma On July 21, the SID – Ethiopia members were busy making all the necessary preparation for the trek to the mountain city of Ejersa Goro. At the same time, arranging to celebrate my earth-strong on one of the palace ground of H.I.M; now occupied as an Officer’s Club of the Ethiopian Military. As preparation and arrangement were been made, the three guides, Executive Director, and I toured the Ancient Walled City of Harar, New Harar, the burial site of Ras Makonnen, etc. My mother was the source to link me spiritually to H.I.M by making reference of my earth-strong coming at the eve of H.I.M; which later in the trod into Ethiopia, became mystically connected to Princess Yeshimebet Ali’s journey on July 21, 1892 to Ejersa Goro to give birth to her son Lij Tafari Makonnen on July 23, 1892. Another source is attributed to my constant study of the Emperor’s life beginning as a child, a Ras, and ultimately Emperor of Ethiopia. The final resource was at an International Nyahbinghi Conference in 2008 at Scotts Pass in Clarendon, Jamaica. While there, I pointed out to key members and Ancients of the Nyahbinghi House that Psalm 87 needs to be fulfill through a visit of a Rastafari delegation. The delegation was too trod to Harar then Ejersa Goro, the birthplace
