FAMOUS FOR OUR Murals Danville and Vermilion County are well known for their wall murals.
Danville’ s 17 Walldog Murals came to life over 6 days in August 2010 which began as a Walldog sign painter’ s reunion. Approximately 125 artists came from all over the world and transformed Downtown Danville’ s walls into a colorful, robust, historical bus or walking tourist attraction, all within a 3-block radius of one another. Danville is one of 30 towns, 30 years, and 459 Walldog Murals in the USA.
More murals popped up in Danville, and other Vermilion County towns, illustrating our area’ s pride in our history and art.
