First of all, thank you very much for accepting this interview, Tanin. Can you give me a quick introduction of you?

Hi Eva, thank you so much for inviting me for this conversation and for your interest in my film.

Well, I was born in Tehran, Iran in 1992. I did my BA in sociology back there and did the MA in contemporary dance in University of Limerick last year in Ireland. I am currently working as a dance artist in Iran and Ireland. My work embraces choreography, performance and film. Alongside with dancing with ensembles in Ireland and my own solo performances in Iran and Ireland, I’ve made several award winning dance films from 2014 onwards.

I started to make dance films, because I could see that being based in Iran, the easiest way to communicate my art with the world is through the medium of film, when a live performance and “presence” is not possible. And now it has become my field of interest! :)
