Dance Mogul Magazine is happy to present to you the Vlado special edition. We sat down and took some time to see how we could make improvements on the first two issues. Looking closely at the times we are living in we decided to lift the morale of those in the community by announcing the first ever “Life Time Achievement Award” from a GRASS ROOTS level honoring those in our community that have made significant strides in their craft to help unify cultures and communities world wide. The award is our way of building up our community and communities all over the world by setting a standard of honoring those that are making a difference on a LOCAL level. The categories will reflect the work that the honoree has done to help improve human relations in a positive way. It can include but is not limited to Arts and Education. The concept will serve as an example to young people that they could be next in line to receive an award if they work hard.

The second idea that was brought to the table for this issue was that we needed to bring in more businesses to the magazine, but the question came up as to how we would do that and still stay on message. We are thrilled to announce that we will be featuring companies that are making a difference in communities all over the world. In some cases companies have set out to tackle such issues as the high school drop out rate, credit, bullying, Boys and Girls Clubs, and some even offer their product line to help support at-risk youth. The third idea that was presented was we needed to feature more women to serve as role models for the dancers. How could we honor women and stay on message? We decided what better place to get role models than our community. We found female teachers, directors, community organizers and more. The magazine will feature articles on some of the women in dance and in corporate. We also decided to set the tone for future magazines with this issue. Teachers play an important role in the lives of our children and what better why to honor them than to dedicate a column to them and the work that they do with our youth. Another aspect of the magazine will be to network people, resources and services. This is so that individuals and businesses that share the same purpose will have a home to come to in hopes of finding like-minded people to help build there brand. There will be special articles that will feature health and fitness, bullying and more.
