HOSPICE CARE PROVIDER
Established in 1934, the Visiting Nurse Association of Texas
(VNA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that helps seniors
age with dignity and independence at home. VNA is the
community’s most trusted provider of quality healthcare
services in the home and is the first nonprofit and most
experienced Hospice Care provider in Texas. Focusing on
living life to its fullest and treating our patients and families
with the dignity and respect they deserve. Serving Collin,
Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Grayson, Henderson, Hunt,
Kaufman, Rockwall, Tarrant, Van Zandt, Wise Counties and
parts of Johnson and Navarro Counties.
VNA offers Meals on Wheels in Dallas County, delivering
nutritious, freshly-prepared hot meals to 4,600 homebound
seniors and disabled adults. VNA continuously adds hungry,
homebound seniors to our service as funding allows.
VNA’s fundraising events held throughout the year include:
North Texas Giving Day, Power of Pie, Light Up a Life, and
Celebrity Chef.
VNA’s volunteer opportunities offer many fun and
meaningful individual, family, and group volunteer
experiences. VNA Meals on Wheels volunteers provide
hot, nutritious meal delivery weekdays, virtual deliveries via
phone, and supplemental pet food delivery, one Saturday
each month. Virtual and in-person volunteer opportunities
are made easy with our mobile app (volunteer.vnatexas.org).
VNA Hospice Care provides a wide variety of opportunities to
visit with patients and caregivers to provide support. Sewing
projects and administrative support is also needed.
Donations help the Visiting Nurse Association of Texas.
A gift of $35 will feed a senior for a week. A gift of $150
will provide compassionate hospice care for a patient with
nowhere to turn. Your support makes it possible to serve more
hungry neighbors in need and provide the highest-quality
care to those facing terminal illness with no means to pay.
