Referencing the topic of plastic surgery, she told Fashionista: “Not only my job but in our society, everyone else is doing it—do I need to do it? But then you see some people and think, ‘Well, I don’t want to end up looking like that so is it better to look old?’ I’m still trying to figure that out, I guess, where I personally want to draw that line.” Still, it’s always been the fact that Crawford wasn’t your standard beauty that has made her so relatable over the years. But I don’t know. The buildup is worse than the reality. That’s what I found at 40. Now it’s finally happening and then it will be over and I will be 50. I will feel the same, I feel great. But it’s daunting. It’s a big number, especially for women. You can’t pretend you’re a girl anymore. You might feel girlie inside but you hopefully are kinda like, this is who I am with my flaws.” Embracing her flaws, Crawford has publically shared that she has undergone some plastic surgery over the years—but she’s quick to admit that she’s not encouraging everyone to go that route. My generation, Christy Turlington, Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, we all looked different. As a supermodel, she’s been featured in thousands of magazines, has worked with hundreds of brands, and made the transition to TV and film. She’s been voted one of the world’s most beautiful or sexi-
