DART MAKES DISCOVERING NORTH TEXAS EASIER D allas Area Rapid Transit (DART) has recently intro- duced several new products and services designed to help North Texans get where they want and need to go, whether it’s for work, school or fun. GoPass ® Tap Gives Cash Customers Convenience DART’s new GoPass Tap card is a re- loadable transit card that improves the way you pay and ride. The card works on all DART buses and trains. You simply tap your card at the card reader before you board, and the system deducts the correct fare. You can purchase or add value to your GoPass Tap card account with cash or credit at hundreds of retail locations, online at GoPass.org or by calling 214-979-1111. There is no acti- vation fee or purchase fee for the card, however, there is an initial $6 minimum load that can be used immediately for fare payment. With a GoPass ® Tap card, you will never spend more than the total cost of a Day Pass in a single day. By registering your card, you will never pay more than a Monthly Pass in a calendar month. Keep riding and keep saving without the upfront cost and commitment. Enhanced GoPass ® app offers more features Earlier this year, DART rolled out a more robust version of its GoPass mobile ticketing application. A major new feature is the cash-to-mobile option for buying tickets. Cash to mobile enables you to add value onto your GoPass app using cash at hundreds of DFW-area retail locations. Any funds you load are held in a digital wallet within the app, and you can use the funds to purchase tickets for DART, Trinity Railway Express, Trinity Metro or Denton County Transportation Authority. The enhanced app also offers more robust travel tools, in- cluding real-time trip planning. Monthly fare capping also is available in the app. To learn more about GoPass Tap or GoPass app, visit www. GoPass.org. GoLink: On-demand service improves mobility DART’s GoLink service provides flexible transportation ser- vices, giving customers personalized curb-to-curb service. GoLink currently is available in Plano, Rowlett and southern Dallas. You can request a GoLink ride through the TapRide mo- bile app and track the location of the shuttle, like you can with private ride-sharing services. In early 2019, you will be able to schedule GoLink trips in the GoPass mobile app. You can find information on GoLink at www.DART.org/golink. You also can call DART Customer Service for questions about any of these new products and services at 214- 979-1111. DALLAS COUNTY Living Well Magazine | JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2019 7
