William Banister, MD

Dr. Banister is a board-certified neurosurgeon with more than 20 years
of experience and has performed more than 5,000 surgical procedures.
He focuses on disorders of the brain, spine, and peripheral nerves, and
approaches patients with sincerity and warmth. Dr. Banister’s colleagues
describe him as being a thoughtful surgeon who considers all angles be-
fore developing a plan of action—and this diligence has helped him earn
the trust and satisfaction of the thousands of patients he has treated.
Dr. Banister specializes in minimally invasive surgery to decrease postop-
erative pain and scarring, shorten patients’ length of hospitalization, and
cut down recovery times. Believing there is no one-size-fits-all surgery for
a given ailment, he tailors the treatment to fit the individual needs of every
patient.
His research has been accepted for presentation at several conferences,
and he is a member of many professional associations and regularly at-
tends professional meetings and seminars to ensure that he remains at the

Dr. Banister is a diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Sur-
gery and a member of the American Board of Medical Specialties, the
Texas Medical Association, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and
the Potter-Randall County Medical Society.
