Eye Associates of Central Minnesota devoted
to providing patients with excellent care
Dr. Mitchell Gossman and Dr. Andrea Joplin,
ophthalmologists at Eye Associates of Central Min-
nesota in St. Cloud offers its patients 50 years of
combined expertise in the field.
When seeking services, Gossman said patients can
expect to be met by a pleasant environment, friendly
and knowledgeable personnel and skilled doctors.
“When you step into our office, you are stepping
into a practice that prioritizes its patients above ev-
erything else,” he said.
Eye Associates of Central Minnesota offers a wide
variety of services, from routine eye exams, Lasik and
treatment of dry eyes to management and treatment
of retinal complications as a result of diabetes.
Another service the practice offers is treatments
for macular degeneration, a chronic condition that
causes vision loss and is a major cause of vision loss
in Americans aged 55 and older. It affects more than
1 million men and women, Gossman said.
Eye Associates of Central Minnesota also offers
treatment of glaucoma, a disease which causes dam-
age to the optic nerve and, if left untreated, can lead
to blindness.
One ailment related to the eye that Gossman par-
ticularly enjoys working to correct is cataracts — a
condition more than 1 million people in the United
States receive surgery for each year.
“It is a person who is having a lot of trouble with
their vision and in a matter of days, you can restore
their vision back to its normal state,” he said.
In addition, the practice offers a variety of eye-
glasses depending on each person’s needs, from sun-
glasses and bifocals to reading glasses, tinted glasses
and more.
As ophthalmology is their passion, Joplin and
Gossman work with their patients on steps they can
take to protect their vision.
Some of those steps include having an comprehen-
sive dilated eye exam, exercising regularly and main-
taining a healthy weight, eating more leafy green veg-
etables and fish, keeping their blood pressure within
normal range and keeping their cholesterol levels low.
