PSALM 138
MATTHEW 7:7-12
God, I spend so much of my life asking for things, and wanting what I should not have. Help me to understand my desires, and to be at peace with them. Help me to see my blessings with clear eyes and a grateful heart. Soften me Lord, soothe my anxieties with the knowledge and hope that your provision does not always come in the way I would expect— and yet, Loving God, you provide. Strengthen me to stretch myself in generosity, remembering that all of us are one through the life and love or your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
