PSALM 138
MATTHEW 7:7-12
God , I spend so much of my life asking for things , and wanting what I should not have . Help me to understand my desires , and to be at peace with them . Help me to see my blessings with clear eyes and a grateful heart . Soften me Lord , soothe my anxieties with the knowledge and hope that your provision does not always come in the way I would expect — and yet , Loving God , you provide . Strengthen me to stretch myself in generosity , remembering that all of us are one through the life and love or your Son , Jesus Christ . Amen .
