Chris is an innovative thinker and entrepreneur , with broad-based expertise in information security – InfoSec ( incl . cybersecurity ), data protection , privacy , FinTech and RegTech . He holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering ( specializing in Computer Engineering ). He is a member of various bodies and organisations , and he is also the President of the Cyprus Association of Information Protection and Privacy ( CAIPP ) as of April 2022 . Moreover , Chris has been elected as a member of the National Reflective Committee CYS / MC 8.06 for Information Security , Cybersecurity and Data Protection of Cyprus Organisation for Standardisation ( CYS ), as of 2020 . He currently leads geevo ® , a Cybersecurity , Data Protection , Data Privacy and Risk Management boutique of services , combining legal , compliance and technical expertise . geevo ® offers among others , Incident Response and Digital Forensics , Ransomware Remediation , Managed Security Services , Security Operations Center ( SOC ), vCISOs , DPOs and an array of compliance services and trainings , including ISO Certifications , such as NIS / NIS2 , DORA , ISO 27001 ( ISMS ), ISO 22301 ( BCMS ), and PCI DSS . " Cyber Warfare and National Security "
“ Cyber warfare is a growing threat to national security .” Mr . Christodoulos Papadopoulos presented the threats Cyprus is facing and its possible responses to them .
Mr . Christodoulos Papadopoulos presented the Cyber threats to Cyprus including cyber espionage , cyber terrorism , and cybercrime . Emphasis was given to International Cooperation , having in mind that Cyber threats are a global issue . The Cyber Threat Landscape was also identified , in an effort to highlight the necessity to provide better insights into the threats and vulnerabilities of the region , leading to better design more resilient responses . The key Mediterranean players were also identified , along with a high level security challenges analysis , as to ensure special attention so that the national data and security does not get compromised . Mr . Christodoulos Papadopoulos presented real examples and also suggested possible countermeasures . The conclusion of his presentation , indicated that Cyber warfare is a growing threat to national security , and Cyprus , for this respect more needs to be done and International cooperation and continued investment in cyber security will be essential in protecting Cyprus .
