NEW VERSION OF THE OLD PORT OF LIMASSOL
The old port of Limassol
was built as a supplement
to the Famagusta port
for trade and passengers.
However, when the new
port was constructed in
1973, and because of the
massive development of
the shipping industry, the
use of Old Port began to
diminish. The Old Port of
Limassol has now become
a tourist hub ov er the past
few years and is a leading
attraction for any night out.
The rebirth of the Old Port
has brought some great
new restaurants and the
way contemporary blends
with the old in this city is
absolutely enchanting.
