build innovative ships of excellent quality, supported by a worldwide network of sales and services
including maintenance and repair & conversion facilities. 
Damen Shipyards Group
Damen Shipyards Group operates 32 ship- and repair yards, employing 9.000 people worldwide. Damen
has delivered more than 5.000 vessels in more than 100 countries and delivers approx. 160 vessels
annually to customers worldwide. Based on its unique, standardised ship-design concept Damen is able to
guarantee consistent quality.
Damen’s  focus on standardisation, modular construction and keeping up to 150 vessels in stock leads to
short delivery times, low ‘total cost of ownership’, high resale value and reliable performance.
Furthermore, Damen vessels are based on thorough R&D and proven technology.
Damen offers a wide range of products, including: tugs, workboats, naval and patrol vessels, high speed
craft, cargo vessels, dredgers, vessels for the offshore industry, ferries, pontoons and super yachts.
For nearly all vessel types Damen offers a broad range of Services, such as maintenance, spare parts
delivery, training and transfer of (shipbuilding) know-how. To complete, Damen offers a variety of marine
components, especially nozzles, rudders, anchors, anchor  chains and steel works.
Innovation
We work alongside world-renowned research institutes, such as Delft University of Technology, the
Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (MARIN) and the Netherlands Organisation of Applied Scientific
Research (TNO).
All Damen vessels benefit from thorough R&D. Our product- and R&D-teams are continuously making our
ships faster, quieter and more cost-efficient. Their research has led to some truly pioneering designs such
as the Enlarged Ship Concept, the Sea Axe and recently the Damen E3 concept, which focuses on
environmentally friendly vessels.
Because we keep vessels in stock, the delivery time of a Damen vessel is very short; for some vessel types
even as short as two weeks. Years of refining our production processes (engineering, hull fabrication,

Damen design
Product design and engineering are carried out in-house. A broad range of standard designs (with many
optionals) is available from the smallest tug to the biggest yacht. Damen’s product development policy is
primarily driven by customer feedback and (field) experience. We consider this a strength that has been at
the core of our success.
