"Benefits of social media use between industries, state authorities and consumers"
Social media is not only a place where we can post videos of jumping goats. In fact, a social media strategy
when properly planned and implemented can provide significant benefits in communicating between
stakeholders in the value chain
The proper use of social media, can facilitate more efficient and effective communications between industry,
government and consumers -- from marketing to safety to explaining costs and benefits, as well as
understanding the needs of consumers.
In addition, social media can become the first stop in acquiring or sharing information enabling the industry
sector to benefit from the shared experiences. The latest statistics, the latest technological advancements and
latest trends are easily shared on social media allowing for expanded collaboration among industry
participants.
The presentation is intended to encourage dialogue among the conference attendees on the benefits of social
media use.
