Primer Sanding

Apply 3M ™ Dry Guide Coat (09560)
to primed surface.

Re-apply 3M™ Dry Guide Coat
(09560). Machine sand using 3M™
Hookit™ Purple+ Multihole Abrasive
Discs, P400 (50533) for solid colours
or P500 (50534) for light base coats.

Hand block the repair area with 3M ™
Hookit ™ Purple+ Multihole Abrasive
sheets P320 (30641).

Sand awkward primed areas with
3M ™ Hookit ™ Flexible Abrasive Sheets
P600 (34339) for solid colours or
P800 (34340) for light base coats.

Adjacent panels can be prepared
by machine using a 3M ™ 260L
Hookit ™ Purple Finishing Film Disc
P1000 (51157), or use 3M ™ Hookit ™
Flexible Abrasive Sheets P1000
(34341) attached to a non-vacuum
orbital sander.
Alternatively, for a wet sanding
process use 3M ™ Trizact ™ Blending
Discs P1000 (50341) and water or
3M ™ Scotch-Brite ™ PRO Handpads in
grey (64935) and 3M ™ Prep and Blend
Liquid (09308).

Check repair, blow and wipe all
surfaces in preparation for
topcoat masking.
