REGULAR ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Age: 16- 47 *
* Must attest before 48 th birthday. If you are under 18 years of age, you will need consent from a parent or guardian before you apply however you may commence your application from 15 years and 9 months.
Qualifications
You need a minimum of Grade C( Grade 4 to 5 with effect from Aug 17) or SCE Standard Grade 2 / Scottish National 5 or( Grade A – C) in the following GCSEs: Mathematics and English
The Scottish National 5 Application of Mathematics( AOM)( Grade A-C) is also accepted.
If a candidate lacks either GCSE English or Maths but not both and has successfully completed the DAA but must then achieve Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths or English, as appropriate during Phase 1 training at RAF Halton, before entry on to Phase 2. Failure to achieve the required academic standard may lead to the candidate being discharged from the Service.

Whether or not you were born in the United Kingdom, you should normally have resided there for the 5 years immediately preceding your application, but candidates with a minimum of 3 years may be considered. If you have resided abroad for a period within this timeframe, dependant on the circumstances you may still be eligible on a case by case basis.
Nationality
You must be a citizen of the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland, holder of dual UK / other nationality or have been a Commonwealth citizen since birth( with‘ right to work’ immigration status).

Selection You will be assessed on physical fitness and medical eligibility. You will be required to complete the Defence Digital Assessment at your local AFCO to a standard appropriate to your choice of specialisation.
