2. HAHNDORF
Located in the beautiful Adelaide Hills just 20 minutes drive from
the CBD, Hahndorf is a fantastic spot for a day trip. Spend the
morning with the baby animals at The Farm Barn, shop for and eat
all things German on the Main Street and while you’re there don’t
blink or you’ll miss The Hahndorf Fairy Garden - don’t forget to ring
the bell on the way up so the fairies know you’ve arrived.
3. st kilda playground
Adelaide has HEAPS of fantastic playgrounds BUT if we had to pick just
one St Kilda with its awesome arrangement of huge slides, flying fox,
wooden pirate ship and range of other cool play equipment for families
of all ages would be it. For a perfect day out you can even catch the tram
from the Tramway Museum just down the road. The museum has over
20 historic trams that run on the 1.6km track from the Museum site
to the St Kilda Playground, where you can disembark and play all day
before catching the return tram back to the museum.

4. monarto zoo
The pandas at Adelaide
Zoo aren’t our only animal
attraction. Monarto Zoo is
the largest open range zoo
in the WORLD with over 500
animals including chimps,
rhinos and lions. You can even
hand feed the giraffes!
5. LAKE BUMBUNGA
2 hours north of Adelaide you’ll
find the striking pink of Lake
Bumbunga cutting through the
scenery. See if you can find the
Loch Eel Monster – apparently
been there since the 70’s and
made from rubber tyres, makes
for a cool pic!
