Mr. McGregor’s Vegetable, Flower, and Herb Patch - Planning a Family Garden
This fun, family-friendly workshop will lead participants through the steps of how to plan a successful garden. Class will focus on
parent-child activities on how to choose
what to grow, garden soil preparation,
summer harvest, and pollinators.
Participants will receive a garden plan,
sample seeds, and Wyoming-specific
gardening resources. To make the most of the workshop, please bring a rough sketch with the dimensions of your garden space and a list of your favorite vegetables, flowers, and herbs. Plans for container gardens are welcome, too!

Ethnobotany: Edible and Medicinal Plants
This year we are offering two different
opportunities to learn from our local
expert, John Mionczynski. Consider
taking both classes to learn about
availability of plants during different
times in the growing season. John’s
expertise and television documentaries
have gained him worldwide recognition.
Come and find out which plants were
important both as food and for medicinal
use to the native inhabitants of this area.
This course is a mix of botany, history and
chemistry with slides and hands-on plant
identification. Students will study plants
in the Sinks Canyon area. Please be
prepared to be outside all day. Bring a
lunch/snacks, water, sturdy shoes,
sunscreen and insect repellant. A
notebook and camera are strongly
recommended. John’s classes fill quickly
so register early!

Flower Arranging 101
Unleash your creative side and learn an enjoyable new skill! This class will help give you the confidence to create your own flower arrangements for home and gifts. Dandelion

participants through each step of the floral
design process, providing the tools,
accessories, and locally grown fresh flowers and foliage needed to create a beautiful
garden-style bouquet to take home. Teresa
will share her tricks of the trade along with
