Day in the Life of Your Brain

Day in the Life of Your Brain is an entry-level neurobiological course designed for students who want a rudimentary understanding of brain functions as applied to everyday life. This “brain appreciation” course overlaps and goes beyond the neurology topics covered in PSYC 1000. No previous psychology background is necessary.

This is a non-credit, introductory class in Spanish, focusing on pronunciation, conversation, and useful, handy phrases. We shall also cover as much grammar as you can tolerate.

TEXT: Marcial Prado“Practical Spanish Grammar" - A Self Teaching Guide (paperback)

Designed for adult students who have taken the CWC Intermediate Spanish course, or its equivalent*** and who want more practice in using Spanish grammar and vocabulary.

The six-week course will not introduce new instructional material but will, instead, involve the students in group- and one-on-one conversations; oral recitation; and opportunities to practice writing and have it critiqued.

*** The “equivalent” to Intermediate Spanish means having been exposed to:

Pronunciation; subject, object, possessive, and reflexive pronouns; gender; agreement; verb conjugations in all three moods: INDICATIVE (present, future, conditional, preterite, imperfect); IMPERATIVE (formal and familiar); and SUBJUNCTIVE (present and imperfect), as well as a reasonable amount of vocabulary to hang onto the limbs of the grammatical framework.

This class is designed for the person who has limited knowledge of Excel. It is strongly encouraged you take the free Tech Tutor  class offered at the Teton County Library (Wednesdays and Thursdays by appointment). In CWC’s Excel Basics class, students will continue learning shortcuts and tricks to set up a fully formatted worksheet, quickly and efficiently. Topics covered include formulas, the function wizard, sort and analyzing data and designing custom charts and graphs. Students may bring their own laptop. Space is limited.
