HEALTH RESPONSE

IF YOU ARE SICK CAMPUS PROCEDURE :
The employee or student work area will be closed and the protocol for cleaning and disinfecting areas if someone is sick , outlined above , will be followed . If a student residing in on-campus housing becomes sick , they will be placed in a single occupancy room , with a private bathroom , to avoid contact with others while awaiting confirmation of COVID-19 status . Meals and other essential items will be brought to the student . If any student or employee is confirmed COVID-19 positive , the public health department will be contacted so they can perform contact tracing of others who may be at risk of exposure .
WHEN DO I NEED TO QUARANTINE ?

PLAN

Not vaccinated - quarantine for 10 days if not tested ; if no symptoms can resume normal activities on day 11 . If no symptoms and tested after day 5 from last exposure and test is negative , can resume normal activities beginning day 8 ( 7 day quarantine ) Vaccinated - do not need to quarantine , but needs to be tested 3-5 days after last exposure and wear a mask when indoors in public until test result is back . If negative , resume normal activities . If not tested , wear a mask indoors when in public for 14 days .
RETURNING TO WORK / CAMPUS AFTER A POSITIVE TEST ( CDC GUIDLINES )
Students and employees should not return to campus until they have met the CDC criteria to discontinue isolation and have consulted with Public Health .
Per the CDC criteria , persons with COVID-19 who have symptoms and were directed to care for themselves at home may discontinue isolation under the following conditions and approval from Public Health :
At least 72 hours have passed with no fever , without the use of feverreducing medications ( Tylenol , Advil , etc )
AND
Symptoms have improved AND
At least 10 days have passed since symptoms first appeared .
Students and employees must provide documentation to HR or the Dean of Students before returning to work / campus .
