What a wild ride we have all been on . It seems like a lifetime has passed since Saturday , March 14 , 2020 when we had to close our doors before the final performance of “ Annie Get Your Gun ” due to Covid-19 .
These last 18 months have been the most challenging months I ’ ve ever faced as a director of a theatre program . When we had to cancel “ Little Women the Musical ” in November of 2020 it broke my heart yet , we continued moving forward . Throughout this past year I think we have all gained a new appreciation for gathering together and sharing in communal experiences . We are thrilled to be creating live theatre again and can ’ t wait to have you join us .
Throughout the last several months our faculty and staff members at Central Wyoming College have been hard at work preparing the school and the performance spaces at the school to ensure safety and sanitation . We feel that we are following the ever changing guidelines as closely as possible and will continue to do so over this next year .
Due to safety procedures changing as quickly as it they do during a pandemic , we ask that you please refer to the Covid-19 safety guidelines in this brochure or the full safety plan in place at Central Wyoming College at www . cwc . edu / coronavirus /. The faculty of the theatre program have been in contact with each other and have been working hard to continue creating sets , costumes , sound and lighting designs in preparation for the shows we will be producing this school year .
We are excited to create and share with you our 2021 – 22 Theatrical Season ! We have assembled a variety of plays , musicals , and events ! Some are old favorites … some are sparkling new … look at all these great titles ! Little Women the Musical ; A Christmas Carol ; Carousel ; and The Rustler Review 2022 . Add the remarkable talent in our community to the skills and craftsmanship of our students in the Central Wyoming College theatre department … every performance will be a treat !
We thank you for your support , your patience , and your understanding over the last several months . We have missed you , I have missed you . We are back . Live theatre is finally here again . We can ’ t wait to perform for you again . Let ’ s go on with the show !
