Winning an NHBC Pride in the Job Quality Award places a site manager among the very best in the housebuilding industry. Judged over an 18-month period through a rigorous programme of unannounced inspections, the awards recognise exceptional standards in site management, quality control, health and safety, technical competence and leadership. Fewer than five per cent of eligible site managers receive the accolade each year, making it one of the industry’ s most respected benchmarks of construction excellence.
This year’ s recipient at Crannog Drive, Dungannon, is Dylan McVeigh, Site Manager for New Development( NW) Limited, whose work has earned national recognition while overseeing one of Northern Ireland’ s first Affordable Rent developments for Maple and May. His award reflects not only consistently high standards on site, but also the collaborative culture required to deliver homes that will have a lasting impact on the local community.
Located off Old Eglish Road in Dungannon, the Crannog Drive development forms part of a pioneering Affordable Rent programme established by the Department for Communities and delivered by Maple and May. The initiative has been created to address growing housing demand by providing professionally managed homes at rents set at least 20 per cent below prevailing market levels, offering greater security and affordability for households that may otherwise struggle to access suitable accommodation.
