consistency, technical expertise, workmanship, leadership and health and safety.
Arden Oaks forms part of the wider regeneration of the former Woodman Road site, transforming previously developed land into a new residential community. The scheme offers a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments together with two, three, four and five-bedroom houses, providing accommodation for first-time buyers, growing families and those looking to downsize.
The homes have been designed with energy efficiency and everyday practicality in mind. Open-plan living spaces, contemporary kitchens and flexible internal layouts are complemented by features including electric vehicle charging points, energy-efficient heating systems and high levels of insulation, supporting lower energy consumption while meeting modern building standards.
Landscape has played a central role in the masterplan. Existing trees and green corridors have been retained where possible, while new planting, open spaces and pedestrian routes have been incorporated throughout the development to encourage walking and create a strong connection between the homes and their surroundings. The result is a neighbourhood where public realm has been considered alongside the residential architecture.
Construction at Arden Oaks began in 2024, with Crest Nicholson describing the project as an important addition to its Thames Gateway portfolio. The development has progressed through a phased delivery programme, allowing new homes to be released as successive areas of the site are completed.
