SISK AND D / RES PROPERTIES ANNOUNCE JOINT VENTURE TO DELIVER 1,000 HOMES A YEAR

John Sisk & Son( Sisk) and D / RES Properties, two prominent Irish family-owned construction and development companies, announce the launch of Arden, a strategic joint venture established to support the further delivery of housing in Ireland, with the potential to deliver 1,000 social and affordable homes to the Irish market per annum.
Both Sisk and D / Res Properties will second their resources and expertise to Arden which will be a fully independent company.
Speaking about this development, Paul Brown, CEO, John Sisk & Son, stated:“ Arden brings together complementary strengths and a shared commitment to delivering high-quality housing. Our focus is on working collaboratively to support well-planned, sustainable communities.”
Patrick Durkan, CEO, D / RES Properties, added:“ This Joint Venture with Sisk and the formation of Arden is the powerful combination of two-family legacies to assist in the institutional delivery of large residential developments across Ireland. As the market is maturing and the scale of Government ambition is to deliver larger multi-tenure schemes which require development and financial expertise, alongside the execution and construction expertise, we feel that Arden is a great proposition to drive value for all stakeholders.”
John Feeney, Chief Executive, Corporate and Commercial Banking, Bank of Ireland said:“ Through its combined construction and development expertise, Arden is well positioned to deliver high‐quality homes at scale. This aligns closely with our housing strategy, and we’ re delighted to provide working capital finance for its first flagship project. We look forward to working with Sisk and D / RES over the coming years as they build on this foundation to deliver a strong pipeline of sustainable housing projects across Ireland.”
Background
Arden was founded by John Sisk & Son and D / RES Properties to support the delivery of large-scale, multitenure residential-led community developments in Ireland. It was initially formed to deliver the neighbourhood development of Foothills, Killinarden in South County Dublin, delivered in partnership with South Dublin County Council, with first units launching September 2026.
Arden brings together Sisk’ s long-standing construction expertise and D / RES Properties’ experience in housing developments and residential delivery. The partnership is structured to accelerate the delivery of high-quality housing stock across the Irish market, leveraging the combined assets and capabilities of both organisations.
Arden will take a collaborative, partnership-led approach, working closely with landowners, local authorities, state agencies, institutions, Approved Housing Bodies( AHBs), and commercial stakeholders to unlock value and accelerate delivery on social and affordable housing projects through design excellence and operational expertise.
This approach allows Arden to create vibrant, sustainable communities while maximising social and economic impact in a timely manner.
