VENTRY CONSTRUCTION- INDUSTRIAL UNITS, DUNHAM BUSH SITE
Ventry Construction is delivering a new industrial and warehouse development at the former Dunham-Bush site on Downley Road in Havant, regenerating a long-established employment site into three modern industrial units built to high sustainability standards.
Redevelopment of the former Dunham-Bush manufacturing site on Downley Road in Havant is progressing as Ventry Construction delivers a new industrial and logistics scheme designed for flexible employment use. The project transforms a substantial brownfield site within the established New Lane industrial area into a modern industrial development comprising three separate units.
The scheme covers approximately 101,430 sq ft across three industrial and warehouse buildings and carries a reported construction value of £ 8.75 million. Royal London Asset Management is the client for the development, with Ventry Construction acting as principal contractor.
The site was formerly occupied by Dunham-Bush, one of the New Lane estate’ s longest-established industrial operators. Prior to redevelopment, the property included more than 106,000 sq ft of industrial and office accommodation arranged across a large manufacturing complex. The former buildings were demolished following earlier planning and site clearance approvals.
Planning consent for the redevelopment was granted by Havant Borough Council during 2025. The approved proposals include flexible industrial accommodation suitable for Class E( g)( iii), B2 and B8 uses, allowing the completed buildings to support a range of industrial, manufacturing, storage and distribution occupiers.
The new buildings are being designed around high sustainability standards, with project information published by Ventry Construction describing the scheme as a regeneration project delivered to“ Outstanding” sustainability standards. Planned environmental measures include rooftop solar provision and electric vehicle charging infrastructure integrated within the completed development.
