LNC Property Developments- 70 Bed Care Home, Bancroft Lane
company brings a resident-first ethos to all its projects. The Spencer Street scheme builds on this legacy, aiming to provide much-needed capacity for elderly and specialist care in the Mansfield area.
The project is being delivered by LNC Property Developments, an experienced contractor in the health and care sector. The design, by Kristian Lawrence of Lawrence and Finlay Architects, carefully balances aesthetics, functionality and accessibility.
Each of the 70 en-suite bedrooms is designed to offer privacy and comfort, while generous communal areas— including lounges and dining rooms— encourage social interaction and community living. The plans also feature landscaped gardens, giving residents access to calming, outdoor space in a secure setting.
Supporting the construction are a number of specialist consultants. KSA Consulting Engineers, led by Jordan Stephenson, are responsible for the structural engineering.
Hargan UK is delivering the mechanical engineering systems, ensuring the building operates efficiently and comfortably year-round. Managing the financial oversight on the contractor side is quantity surveyor Lee Williamson, while Glenn Manners of Libertas Management is acting as employer’ s agent and quantity surveyor for the client.
The facility has been designed to meet the rising demand for high-quality care environments in the region, where the ageing population continues to grow. Beyond improving access to care, the development will have wider community benefits, including job creation and opportunities for ongoing training and employment in the health and social care sectors.
From the very beginning, the project has focused on building a space that supports independence, wellbeing and dignity. Light-filled interiors, considered layouts, and features that cater to the needs of older residents— including mobility considerations and ease of navigation— are all central to the design. The result will be a facility that not only supports physical care needs but also provides emotional comfort and a true sense of home.
This development reflects the changing expectations around elderly care— where modern facilities must do more than meet minimum requirements. They must offer meaningful quality of life, integrate into the community, and provide environments that residents are proud to call home.
